Project rabbit, which has been asleep for about six months, is finally back on the road. It’s still running a cammed/chipped ABA, which is good for around 110hp or something. Few minor things before it’s ready for a VA inspection later this week (bumpers, turns, parking brake, and new fuel rail going on tonight), but I recently had the opportunity to pick up some new goodies, which I’ve posted teasers of above.
By mk1madness in June, I will be running a forged internals 16v, big valved head, and Lysholm charger through a yet to be sourced 5-speed with a quaife.
More updates to come slowly as I recover from the financial brutality of buying all that stuff at once.

Nice, I love Mk1s. Love the teardrops too.

Thanks! This is the first mk1 I bought - I had an ‘81 Caddy but had to sell it to fund a move. The teardrops are my winters, I’ll have to find very special 14s for summer to clear the brakes I’ll be getting. I had 15s on it for a little while, but prefer a smaller wheel for what I’m going for. We’ll see how it goes, haha

Obviously, I approve — even if I don’t have rabbits of the Volkswagen variety!
